Nintendo eShop in Brazil Available on December 7th

Additionally, Brazilian Portuguese is Now Available on the Nintendo Switch Operating System

Yesterday, Nintendo confirmed the official launch of Nintendo eShop in Brazil starting on December 7th at 9 p.m. BST.  With Nintendo eShop, consumers are able to purchase digital games and content and download it directly to their Nintendo Switch system. On December 7th a free update for Nintendo Switch will be available to consumers to access Nintendo eShop in the Brazilian market.

Nintendo eShop in Brazil will have more than 400 titles and pieces of digital content at launch, with a growing library of games from Nintendo, independent developers and publishing partners. Nintendo eShop will accept Brazilian local payment methods, and local currency prices. Consumers in Brazil will need a Nintendo Account set in the Brazilian territory to access it starting on December 7th.

Nintendo eShop offers a wide variety of content, such as new releases and classic games, demos, DLC, Season Passes, and Nintendo Switch Online memberships. Among the games available at launch are Hyrule Warriors: Age of CalamityFitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise and Pikmin 3 Deluxe, as well as popular Nintendo games like Super Mario 3D All-StarsAnimal Crossing: New HorizonsMario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo eShop also offers DLC* such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter Pass Vol. 1 & 2. The popular franchise from Epic Games, Fortnite, and YouTube are going to be available for download in Nintendo eShop in Brazil starting on December 7th.

Other titles from development partners available in Nintendo eShop in Brazil on December 7th are Just Dance 2021 and FIFA 21 Legacy Edition, as well as popular Brazilian games such as Horizon Chase Turbo developed by Aquiris Game Studio and Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition developed by Long Hat House.

From Nintendo eShop in Brazil, consumers will have access to pre-orders, discounts and special offers. They will also be able to receive My Nintendo Gold Points by purchasing eligible games or digital content. My Nintendo is a loyalty program that connects Nintendo experiences across multiple touchpoints, from gaming systems to computers and smartphones. Nintendo Switch Online is a paid membership service that allows members to team up or face off online in compatible Nintendo Switch games, such as Mario Kart 8 DeluxeSuper Smash Bros. UltimatePokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Members also enjoy a curated library of NES and Super NES classic games, including Super Mario Bros. 3Super Metroid and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, among many others. Nintendo also announced that Brazilian Portuguese is now available as a language option in the Nintendo Switch operating system. Once the system update is installed, users can access the HOME Menu, select System Settings, scroll down to System, select Language and choose the Brazilian Portuguese option.
