2019 POKÉMON NORTH AMERICA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AND 2019 POKÉMON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS DATES AND LOCATIONS ANNOUNCED
The Greater Columbus Convention Center will host the North America International Championships in June. Open to players worldwide with no residency restrictions, this tournament provides Pokémon TCG and video game competitors with a final opportunity to score valuable Championship Points in order to secure an invitation to the 2019 World Championships.
In August, the top Pokémon TCG and video game players will meet and compete at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, for the Pokémon World Championships. The Pokémon World Championships celebrate the hardworking players and supportive community around them. To qualify, Pokémon TCG and video game Trainers must have battled at Championship Series events throughout the season and earned enough Championship Points to contend for a spot in the final competition. Winners will receive the title of World Champion and a share of the more than $500,000 prize pool.

Save the date for the most important Pokémon tournaments of the year as we return to two venues brimming with Pokémon Championship Series history.
The Pokémon World Championships will be coming back to Washington, DC, from August 16–18, 2019, returning to one of the most famous cities in the United States—and to the site of a famous video game match featuring Pachirisu. Veterans of the 2014 Pokémon World Championships will feel at home in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, but they’re sure to enjoy the extra space as the event expands into Halls D & E.
You’ll need plenty of Championship Points to qualify for the Pokémon World Championships, so don’t miss out on this year’s North America International Championships. The biggest Pokémon tournament in North America will take place a little earlier than usual this season, from June 21–23, 2019, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. The North America International Championships are open to all players in good standing, so start making your travel plans now!
The 2019 Pokémon World Championships are quickly approaching, so don’t miss out on your chance to qualify. Check out the Event Locator to find local events, or try your luck at one of the larger Regional Championships. And if you’re looking to compete in the Pokkén Tournament World Championships, don’t miss your chance to qualify at the upcoming Europe or North America International Championships! There will also be a final Pokkén Tournament Championship Series qualifier before the Pokkén Tournament World Championships. Check-in for all invited World Championships competitors will be on August 15, 2019.
You can have a great time at the Pokémon World Championships even if you aren’t competing in the main event by attending as a spectator.
