Cycle 28 releases August 2nd on Nintendo SwitchTM and has a community-driven puzzle
CARDIFF, 25th July, 2018 – From 2nd August Nintendo Switch™ players will be able to tackle the mystery of Cycle 28 in a community-driven puzzle with ARG elements. Cycle 28 has been available on Steam since March, and though great strides have been made, no one has yet solved the puzzle and claimed the prize: every Pill Bug game – past, present, and future – for free! We’re confident the addition of Nintendo Switch™ players to the Cycle 28 community will make a big difference and help find a solution.
From the beginning we’ve encouraged the community to work together to uncover Olivia’s story and break her out of the time loop. So, although we’re offering the Pill Bug Golden Ticket to the first player who solves the mystery and emails the solution to Pill Bug, that player will also be able to nominate up to five players who helped them in their quest for answers. Those nominated players will receive exclusive Cycle 28 rewards and content.
What is Cycle 28?
You think Cycle 28 is a 2D space shooter in the classic arcade style, where only your score matters. The controls are simple. The action is fast-paced. Insane dogfights lead to epic, screen-filling bosses. But the truth is: You don’t know what Cycle 28 is. Not yet.
Playing as Olivia Bergen – a flight lieutenant that has become separated from her fleet – you only know Cycle 27. You live it over, and over, and over again. And if that wasn’t bad enough, every time you drop from warp they are waiting for you.
You don’t know who they are or what they want. You just know you’re the only thing between them and home. So you get better, faster, stronger. Maybe one of these Cycle’s you’ll figure it out. Until then, you can only keep dying.
