Struggling with saving a colorful alien race fall into the clutches of Dr. Eggman, Sonic will face many obstacles along an inspired sci-fi themed amusement park. Sonic Colors will be available on Wii™ and Nintendo DS™ at the end of 2010. A unique playground has been seen orbiting the planet of Sonic the Hedgehog. Some rumors speak of an alien race called wisps, with a rare colored energy, which is now imprisoned here, by the evil Dr. Eggman. Sonic, once arrived on the planet’s entertainment, you can use immediately made aware of this rare power to help colored wisps in the escape! The Wii version of Sonic Colours combines both 2D and 3D gaming perspective, while the Nintendo DS version takes advantage of the characteristics of the double-screen console.
The new Sonic Hedgehog Colors see our dear friend speeding, jumping off himself among enemies like never before in a Sonic game. The aliens WISPs are able to free their “Color Power” that can be absorbed by Sonic drilling to create new roads, for example, the ground (via the Yellow Drill), or go through the whole internship at supersonic speed (thanks to Cyan Laser). Combining the different available energies can further increase the speed of Sonic and his abilities beyond imagination. Lots of power ups and exclusive versions will be available for Wii and Nintendo DS for a brand new super-fast gameplay of Sonic for fans around the world. You might pilot a ship in Metal Torrent™ or try a bluff at the poker table in World Poker Tour Texas Hold 'Em. Once you master those, you can try your hand at solving transportation problems through deductive reasoning or go on a hunt for the notorious Jack the Ripper. Over on the WiiWare™ service, things get a little more "natural." You might play as a monkey or as a unit of DNA. You can even become a trippy beam of light in ArtStyle™: light trax™, the latest title in the critically-acclaimed Art Style series. Don't forget to download the hilarious new Photo Dojo™ game, available for zero Nintendo DSi Points through June 10 (the game will require 200 Nintendo DSi Points for download as of June 11). Like the original Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2 lets players take control of Mario™ as he travels to a host of imaginative planets, collecting Power Stars and striving to rescue Princess Peach™ from the malevolent Bowser™. This new installment enhances the action with an array of new power-ups, gravity-defying levels and inventive game options. For the first time in this series, players can hop on the back of Mario's pal Yoshi™, who aids him on his quest in select stages. Also, players now can choose to play as Mario or later in the game in select stages as his brother, Luigi™.
New power-ups in Super Mario Galaxy 2 include Cloud Mario and Rock Mario, which enable Mario to create temporary cloud platforms or smash through obstacles as a boulder. With the Spin Drill, he can tunnel from one side of a planet to another. Items such as the new Dash Pepper and Blimp Fruit give Yoshi the power to move around in unusual ways, like running up vertical walls or floating to new heights. One of the biggest franchises by Nintendo has always been Mario. When Super Mario Galaxy was released in late 2007, veteran and new comers a like were pleased as to how the game turned out. It was a successful hit and many have been anticipating for the sequel. Since the start of the Super Mario Bros. series on the Nintendo Entertainment System, no one has expected that up until now Mario is still a fab hit even to older gamers. With Super Mario Galaxy 2 now available worldwide (New Zealand release, June 17), can fans expect an awesome adventure once again? The Super Mario Galaxy series was inspired to the 3D platformer Super Mario 64 that was released 14 years ago on the Nintendo 64. Both have the same type of gameplay but with Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii, there is more to it since there are motion controls involved.
