Music, He Wrote: Baroque Murder Mystery “Mozart Requiem” Is Available Now

How could Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, famous Baroque composer, renowned figure in the history of music, murder his beloved patron in cold blood? That’s the question everyone wants answered after Mozart finds himself caught in a deadly plot in Mozart Requiem, available now for PlayStation 4,  Nintendo Switch physical and digital, and digitally on PC.

Prague 1788. Mozart is at the pinnacle of his genius, preparing for the glorious debut of his Don Giovanni in the heart of the Golden City. Then, the unthinkable happens. A shadowy society enacts its plot to dethrone Joseph II, Holy Roman Emperor and Mozart’s patron, sending the realm into chaos and disarray. Suspicion soon falls upon Mozart himself, who must turn his prodigious intellect away from music and devote his genius to unraveling the deadly conspiracy that has the city in its grasp.

Caught between a war of powers and occult ceremonies, you will have only one mission: to save the Emperor. Will you be up to the task?

Mozart Requiem deftly weaves fiction and reality, using extant 18th century maps of the city to bring its opulent vision of Prague to life. While this particular calamity didn’t occur during Joseph II’s reign, Mozart, his contemporaries, and other key events that unfold are all drawn from historical record and crafted with painstaking attention to detail.
