THOUSANDS OF MOVIES & TV EPISODES FROM NETFLIX NOW AVAILABLE VIA NINTENDO'S WII CONSOLE

Now Wii Owners Can Use One System for Movie & Game Night

REDMOND, Wash., and LOS GATOS, Calif., April 12, 2010 - Nintendo of America Inc. and Netflix, Inc. [Nasdaq: NFLX] today announced that Netflix members who own Nintendo's Wii™ home console can now enjoy thousands of movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix via Wii. The two companies announced partnership plans in January and are making Netflix on the Wii console fully available as of today.Become a Netflix Member

Streaming from Netflix via the Wii console is provided at no additional cost to Netflix members who have a plan starting at $8.99 a month, a Wii console and a broadband Internet connection.

The partnership between the two companies dramatically increases the reach of content streamed from Netflix. Wii remains the fastest-selling home console in history. Wii now reaches more consumers than any other device that currently supports streaming movies from Netflix, which had 12.3 million members at the end of 2009.

The launch of Netflix on Wii gives people the opportunity to gather with friends and family for a movie and game night. Everyone can join in the fun of a few heated rounds of Wii Sports Resort™ bowling before loading up a movie. When the movie's over, everyone can try out some table tennis - all on the same Wii console. The addition of Netflix streaming to the Wii console's already wide range of capabilities makes it even more appealing for group enjoyment.

"More than 28 million people already use the Wii console to play games, stay fit and have fun," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "Now they have another reason to use the system every day - to enjoy great movies from Netflix and other video content."

NETFLIX NOW AVAILABLE VIA WII CONSOLE
REDMOND, Wash., and LOS GATOS, Calif., April 12, 2010 - Nintendo of America Inc. and Netflix, Inc. [Nasdaq: NFLX] today announced that Netflix members who own Nintendo's Wii home console can now enjoy thousands of movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix via Wii. The two companies announced partnership plans in January and are making Netflix on the Wii console fully available as of today.

"Launching Netflix on the Wii home console marks a significant advance in the evolution of our service," said Netflix co-founder and CEO Reed Hastings. "Wii has created immense consumer excitement and has meaningfully altered the consumer electronics landscape. Bringing Netflix to Wii catapults us toward our goal of being ubiquitous on the connected devices most popular with consumers."

Netflix continues to expand the ways in which its members can watch movies and TV shows streamed directly to TVs via a range of Netflix-ready devices such as the Wii console. With unlimited memberships starting as low as $8.99 a month, members can instantly watch unlimited movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix and can also receive unlimited DVDs delivered quickly to their homes. In parallel, consumers continue to demonstrate a preference for Wii consoles and the great value they offer in fun games and shared experiences at a suggested retail price of just $199.99. Wii is the only video game system currently available with motion controls, which are included with the system at no extra charge.

To enable their systems to stream TV shows and movies from Netflix, Wii owners will need a broadband Internet connection, a Netflix unlimited membership and a Netflix instant streaming disc for the Wii console. Netflix members and Wii console owners can now receive a free instant streaming disc by going to www.netflix.com/wii. The discs will be delivered for free by first-class mail, generally one business day after they are requested.

When the instant streaming disc is inserted into a member's Wii system, an array of movie and TV choices will be displayed right on the TV screen. These titles will be conveniently organized into a variety of categories based on members' personal preferences and will include popular genres, new arrivals and members' individual instant Queues. Using the Wii Remote™ controller, members will be able to choose a movie or TV episode to watch from their instant Queues or pick one directly from any of the lists. They will also have the ability to read synopses, rate movies, and will have the option of fast-forwarding and rewinding their selection.

The Netflix functionality adds another dimension to the Wii console's diverse online features. With broadband Internet access, the Wii console gains access to a variety of entertainment, information and communication channels that add value to the system and make it a device the entire family can enjoy. For instance, Wii owners of all types can find great games from among hundreds of downloadable new and classic titles with Wii Points™ from the Wii Shop Channel. Or surf the Internet on the big screen via the Internet Channel, watch videos about new and upcoming games on the Nintendo Channel, and play specially designed games online with friends near and far.

Remember that Wii features parental controls that let adults manage the content their children can access. For more information about this and other Wii features, visit Wii.com.

MOVIES, TV EPISODES STREAMED INSTANTLY FROM NETFLIX HEADED TO NINTENDO'S WII CONSOLE THIS SPRING

Millions of U.S. Wii Owners Will Have the Opportunity to Access the World's Largest Online Movie Rental Service

REDMOND, Wash., and LOS GATOS, Calif., Jan. 13, 2010 – Nintendo of America Inc. and Netflix, Inc. [Nasdaq: NFLX] today announced an agreement that will allow Netflix members who are also owners of Nintendo's Wii™ home console to instantly watch thousands of movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix directly to their TVs. Netflix is scheduled to go live on the Wii console this spring in the United States at no additional cost to Netflix members who have a plan starting at $8.99 a month, a Wii console and a broadband Internet connection.

The partnership between the two companies will extend the reach of content streamed from Netflix farther than ever before, thanks to the mainstream popularity of the Wii console. Wii remains the fastest-selling home console in history, and reaches more consumers than any other device that currently supports streaming movies from Netflix. In December 2009, Nintendo sold well in excess of 3 million Wii consoles in the United States. Wii is the top-selling home video game system of this generation, and as such brings the Netflix experience to a broad and diverse mass market.

"Our research shows that 86 percent of all U.S. Wii consoles are located in the living room," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "The Wii console is the social hub around which friends and family members gather to play games and have fun. Soon both new and longtime Wii owners will enjoy the benefits of Netflix – and a variety of informational and entertainment options – by being Netflix members and connecting their consoles to the Internet."

"Our goal is to offer Netflix members as many ways as possible to watch movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix right to their TVs and to give non-members more and compelling reasons to consider the service," said Netflix co-founder and CEO Reed Hastings. "Joining forces with Nintendo, which has been so immensely popular with consumers since its introduction, is a very meaningful step in that direction."

HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS HEADLINES NINTENDO FUSION TOUR

Annual Fall Tour Showcases Hot Bands and Great Video Games

REDMOND, Wash., July 18, 2006 – Music lovers and video game fans will converge in venues across the country this fall, as the fourth annual Nintendo Fusion Tour gets underway. The tour, headlined by emo-rock band Hawthorne Heights and produced by Live Nation, will visit some 40 cities nationwide between Sept. 27 and Nov. 11. In addition to live music, each venue will showcase the hot-selling Nintendo DS™ Lite and provide a sneak peek of Nintendo's upcoming console, Wii™.Annual Nintendo Fusion Tour

"Video games are as important to the pop culture landscape as music," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "The Nintendo Fusion Tour has become a launching pad for the best in entertainment, from the hottest new bands to the best upcoming Nintendo products."

emo-rock band Hawthorne HeightsHawthorne Heights will lead the bill, which also includes Relient K, Emery, Plain White T's and The Sleeping. Many of the band members grew up playing Nintendo games, and the Nintendo Fusion Tour brings their two passions together.

"Nintendo always picks great rock bands, and we are happy to follow in that tradition this year," says Hawthorne Heights singer JT Woodruff. "But mainly, I am an old-school video game nerd. I still have my NES with over 500 games. I love everything Mario, and I accept no substitute. Bring on Wii!"

With their debut, "The Silence in Black and White" shipping platinum and "If Only You Were Lonely" at gold status, it has been a whirlwind year for Hawthorne Heights. After television appearances on Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel Live, the cover of magazines like Billboard and Alternative Press, a chart-topping alternative radio hit with "Saying Sorry" and video omnipresence on music television, the band has made legions of fans. See their new single, "Pens and Needles" on MTV's Total Request Live this summer.

Gotee/Capitol recording artist, Relient K, will release their fifth full-length album this Fall. Relient K have come a long way from their high school days in Canton, Ohio where they wrote some of their first songs in a Wendy's break room...They have headlined Warped tour, been nominated for Grammys, had singles in The Billboard Top 40 charts and have had three Gold records in a row. Matt Thiesen, lead singer for Relient K, says of the tour; "I RC Pro Am really Excite Bike about this Rampage of a tour."

For Seattle-based Emery, being on the road isn't a way of life... it's THE way of life. Through years of pedal to the metal touring, Emery has amassed an undeniably loyal and dedicated fan base. With their well known frenetic, sweat soaked performances, and after selling over 200,000 records, the guys in Emery won't be pulling back their weighty passionate rock anytime soon.

Chicago quintet Plain White T's are bringing energetic power pop and heartfelt lyrics to a whole new generation of young rock enthusiasts. With over 5 million total plays on MySpace.com and nearly 200,000 devoted friends, they are riding an unparalleled wave of frenzied word-of-mouth buzz. The Plain White T's are known for their passionate and dynamic live set that always gets the crowd moving, and their show-stopping acoustic hit, "Hey There Delilah," will have every girl in the audience singing along at the top of their lungs during the Nintendo Fusion Tour.

The Sleeping hit the studio in February 2006 with Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner at Applehead Studios (Coheed and Cambria, Straylight Run) to record their Victory debut, "Questions and Answers." The songs are packed with undeniable hooks and contemporary textures, but their sonic landscapes are a lot like atmospheric and progressive bands from the 90's like Incubus and At The Drive In. Doug Robinson, vocalist, said, "Our influences are really, really all over the place. We listen to everything from Nine Inch Nails to The Police to The Mars Volta; somehow we were able to take four diverse musical opinions and craft them into one interconnected album." From breakdowns to bongos, The Sleeping forges its own path and has a lot of depth that is often neglected by many fledgling bands.

Past Nintendo Fusion Tours have featured top bands like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, My Chemical Romance, Story of the Year and Evanescence. For ticket availability, the latest tour information and news about the Nintendo Fusion Tour, visit www.nintendofusiontour.com. The site will be updated as complete details about this year's tour become available.

Circuit City is the exclusive retail partner for the Nintendo Fusion Tour. The Nintendo Fusion Tour is being booked this year by Jeremy Holgersen and Mike Mori at The Agency Group.

VIZ MEDIA CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY
Company Remains a Dominant Force Behind the Tremendous Popularity of Manga and Anime in North America

San Francisco, CA, June 16, 2006 – VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), one of the entertainment industry's most innovative and comprehensive manga and animation licensing and publishing companies, commemorates its 20th Anniversary on July 7th, 2006.

Viz Media LogoVIZ Media began as Viz Communications, Inc. in 1986 and was formed by co-founders Seiji Horibuchi, who remains VIZ Media’s co-chairman and Satoru Fujii, who approached Shogakukan, Inc., one of Japan’s biggest publishing houses, about developing a vehicle that could publish popular manga (graphic novels) for English-speaking audiences. Horibuchi and Fujii were ardent manga and anime fans and Shogakukan was eager to offer its titles to a wider audience. While at the time, manga in North America initially existed as something of an anomaly, interest grew after VIZ published some of its first successful titles that included RANMA ½, AREA 88 and BATTLE ANGEL ALITA. In 1996, VIZ was catapulted into the mainstream of North American pop culture when it offered the first volume of what would become an anime phenomenon – POKéMON. The series about the adventures of wickedly cute Pikachu and his friends became a hugely successful runaway hit with millions of copies sold. A decade later POKéMON remains a strong title in company’s catalog. The success of the property also allowed VIZ to expand its repertoire and publish titles for older audiences with more refined tastes.

In 2003 Shueisha Inc. took a 50% ownership interest in VIZ and the company launched SHONEN JUMP magazine, marking another notable benchmark. The publication mirrored the popular manga anthologies in Japan that offered a variety of series each month. Many successful anime series initially began in manga form in publications like these. With an affordable cover price and an expansive page count, SHONEN JUMP served as a launching vehicle for many successful VIZ series like DRAGON BALL Z, YU-GI-OH! and NARUTO. The magazine now touts a monthly circulation of 200,000 and has become the most successful manga monthly outside Japan. The success of SHONEN JUMP also led VIZ to launch a sister magazine, SHOJO BEAT, in 2005 which offers a similar format but with content geared towards the growing number of shôjo manga fans.

In 2005, VIZ merged with ShoPro Entertainment, an affiliate of ShoPro Japan and a subsidiary of Shogakukan Inc., to form VIZ Media. ShoPro served as a global licensor specializing in animation, entertainment production and consumer products and its core competencies complemented VIZ’s publishing operations and would provided for the further expansion of manga and anime across North America. Subsequent business deals with publishing powerhouse Simon & Schuster have further expanded the scope of VIZ Media’s reach at the sales, distribution and retail levels. In September of 2005 VIZ Media entered into a groundbreaking joint venture with London-based Copyright Promotions Licensing Group to form VIZ Media B.V. to drive the long-term growth of its Japanese manga and animation brands in the burgeoning European market.

Since its launch, VIZ Media has remained a dominant force behind the tremendous popularity of manga and anime in North America. The company’s manga titles are regularly featured best sellers on national literary sales charts and anime series like INUYASHA, NARUTO and ZATCH BELL! regularly draw millions of television viewers. In April 2006 of this year, VIZ Media announced an innovative joint venture with Cartoon Network for the broadband broadcast initiative – Toonami Jetstream. With this venture, VIZ Media extends its reach into new media and platforms, positioning the company for even greater success.

“It’s extremely gratifying to see how the manga and anime genres have been so wholeheartedly embraced by such a broad-based North American audience,” says Hidemi Fukuhara, CEO of VIZ Media. “Twenty years ago we never imagined that the public would respond to the degree that they have, and the momentum that drives VIZ Media has now inspired us to look to even greater goals for the future. Our continued publication of some of the most popular manga series, the expansion of our anime catalog, and the dedication to nurturing the growing shôjo phenomenon all exemplify our commitment. We look forward to the next twenty years being as exciting and gratifying as the first!”

Also leading the company’s direction and strategy are the Executive Board members which include John Easum, Executive Vice President, Akira Fujita, Executive Vice President, Hyoe Narita, Executive Vice President, Madoka Ayaki, Senior Vice President, Administration, Tonik Barber, Senior Vice President Business Affairs, General Counsel and Dan Marks, Senior Vice President, International.
